Relix Variety's Story

Picture
Relix Variety Theatre is an events venue located at 1208 N. Central Street Knoxville, Tennessee in the Happy Holler District.  Relix Variety Theatre is in a 1915 grocery store space and has been fully renovated to create a unique, flexible space to host a variety of events... music, theatrical shows, meetings, conventions, birthday parties, antiques fairs and markets.  The old White Store building has 15 foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, and polished concrete floors and bar tops.  It is a comfortable and inviting space which hosts the best events in Knoxville.

Unique acoustic properties are natural in the space. The remnants of old 2nd floor structure creates a baffled wood ceiling. The second floor was removed in 1943. These joists carried many a worker in the garment shop upstairs. The front wall of the space is angled 5 degrees to follow the street. The angle breaks up sound and well... there's no real telling why, but it is a great space to hear a band or host a party...

Our service-driven staff and full-service capable commercial kitchen can accommodate any type of event.

Our facility has a full sprinkler systen and can accommodate 300 people.  We have a 500sqft loft that overlooks the main floor. The loft is usable for a private reception area, lounge, green room, or vip suite.

We are located in the Happy Holler community on North Central St in the Downtown North District. Happy Holler is notorious for its revelry and we are building on that tradition.

Happy Holler is on North Central St (1) one mile from the Old City. Located between Woodland and Baxter Avenue exits off of I-275.
